Our logo represents the Zulu iklwa, a short stabbing spear that was developed by King Shaka kaSenzangakhona. The iklwa is essentially an adaptation of the traditional assegai, having a shorter haft and an elongated blade. It was used by Zulu warriors in combination with new military tactics under Shaka’s leadership to powerful, albeit devastating, effect.
Like the challenges of King Shaka’s day, we believe that SME businesses face tough headwinds in the South African environment, and that small innovations and clever tactics can be put to powerful effect.
